Minted has some of the nicest Save the Date selections I’ve found. They are offered in the Our Wedding Plus Save the Date shop. One of the nice things about Minted is they offer the ability to sort through their save the date selection based on season. So if you are having a winter wedding it’s easy to pull-up just the winter themed save the dates. All you have to do is click on one of the Save the Dates offered by Minted over at the Our Wedding Plus Save the Date page and you can sort to your heart’s content to find your favorite Save the Date! But, they should be attention getting, match the theme of your wedding and make your guests want to go to it! They should give the impression that your wedding will be fun and a must go to event! Unique and Fun Save the Date Magnets

Save the Date Magnets are my favorite type of save the date! Not only do they come in many unique styles they also typically wind up on your guests refrigerator where they are constantly reminded of your wedding!

Save the Dates Can Save Your Day!

So you reserved your wedding location and set the date! Now comes the major task of planning the perfect wedding. But how perfect would it be if some of your family and guests can’t make it? Save the Date cards are the key to making sure your guests schedule your wedding into their plans before anything else comes up. Typically you will send your wedding invitations out around two to three months before the wedding. This doesn’t give much time for people to block off time on their calendar during the busy times of the year.

Save the Dates are typically sent to guests as soon as the wedding date is set but at least eight months before the wedding. They are a great way of announcing your engagement as well as informing guests about the date, time and location of the wedding. Save the Dates are important to send if you are planning on having a destination wedding where guests may need to plan financially as well as take time off work. Save the Dates are very critical when planning a wedding around the holidays or during summer vacation period.

Save the Dates come in various forms. They can be much more informal than the wedding invitation so have fun with them! Some of the most popular types are Save the Date Magnets but you can find a variety of Unique Save the Dates. Some of my favorites are save the date pencils, coasters, and even save the date popcorn!

But you might want to try to introduce the theme of your wedding through your save the date. If you are going to have a beach wedding you might to pick one out in line with that theme.
So what information do you put on your save the date? Of course you will have the date of your wedding, only after it is set in stone! Also you will have both of your names, the city and state where the wedding will take place, and it is a good idea to include your wedding website address. Don’t forget to say, “Formal Invitation to Follow.” Since this isn’t your wedding invitation you don’t have to go into detail. The point is to get your wedding on your guest’s calendar and let them know about your wedding website so they can follow along in your planning.
